Imagine a belt fitted tightly around the Earth's equator. Its length is then increased by exactly 6 metres.

Lift one point of the belt upward until the belt is taut again. The two sides of the lifted belt are straight, while the remaining part still follows the Earth.

How high above the surface is the lifted point?
