Four married couples, eight people in all, attend a party. Nobody shakes hands with themself or with their spouse.
Afterward, you ask each of the other seven people how many different people they shook hands with. Every answer is different, and every answer is truthful.
One of the married couples is Pat and Chris. You are told that you shook hands with Pat.
